Karim Hakam – Operations Director
Over 14 years of recruiting experience in Japan, Karim grew up in Sweden and the United States and speaks Swedish and Japanese in addition to his native English.
He graduated from the University of Washington with a double major of International Political Economy and Swedish Language & Literature.
Karim is an expert in the IT field and looks after both the Technology and is also indirectly responsible for the Sales & Marketing business. With a wealth of knowledge and relationships that can only be acquired through experience, he has a passion for connecting candidates to excellent companies. In his free time, Karim enjoys spending time with his young family and the outdoors.
Luke Wilson – Senior Consultant
Originally from London, Luke has over 10 years recruiting experience in Japan.
He is an expert across technology recruitment. With a strong focus on Software Application Development (including Java, C++ etc.), Luke also recruits for roles across the application side as well as infrastructure. Luke speaks Japanese in addition to his Native English and in his free time, he enjoys watching boxing and relaxing with his family.
Mieke Aarsman – Senior Consultant
From The Netherlands, Mieke graduated from Leiden University with a degree in Japanese & Asian Studies.
Mieke’s focus area includes IT Managers, Project Managers, Business Analysts and other top managerial roles.
Mieke speaks fluent Japanese and English along with her native language of Dutch. In her free time, she enjoys riding her motorcycle and travelling internationally as much as possible.
James Cole – Consultant
James comes to us from Los Angeles, California where he spent 8 years recruiting within the entertainment industry.
He’s an expert in the fields of IT Managers, Business Analysts and Project Managers.
In his free time, James enjoys learning about the future of the IT field, as well watching the latest films and television shows.
Masumi Kanazawa – Consultant
Masumi was born and raised in Tokyo, she comes to Morgan McKinley after spending time in Canada, the Philippines and Malaysia.
Masumi specializes in Application Development and Engineers. She enjoys meeting new people and connecting them with great opportunities.
In her free time, Masumi enjoys spending time outside and finding new restaurants, cafes and bars.
Masumi speaks native Japanese and is fluent in English.
Cecily Kome – Associate Consultant
Cecily grew up in Papua New Guinea and worked within the Ministry of Finance and Project Management with JICA, before attending graduate school in Japan.
She is an expert in job research and market knowledge.
In her free time, Cecily enjoys relaxing, watching TV and cooking.
Hyelin So – Associate Consultant
Born and raised in South Korea, Hyelin came to Japan for university and received a degree in Economics from Waseda University. She has also spent time working in Turkey and Spain.
In her free time, Hyelin enjoys planning her next trip abroad, listening to music, dancing and is currently learning the art of being a Disc Jockey.
