Tokyo IT Professionals Enjoyed Morgan McKinley Lego Robot Championship

Mieke Aarsman 01 Feb 2018

We at Morgan McKinley specialise in bringing people together and creating interesting new relationships.

As part of this, we organise engaging events from time to time. Last Tuesday, we got together a classroom full of people in the IT sphere to join in on our Lego Robot Championship and mingle with peers in their industry.

It was a great mix of both foreign and Japanese that formed each team, with a diversity of Java Developers, IT Managers, Project Managers and other professionals. It only took about 3 minutes for all that participated in the championship to find their inner child, and exciting shrieks filled the room. With an iPad, the robots were coded to bring a small package into enemy territory. The group that did that the quickest was up for a bottle of lovely Chandon.

With the IT market heating up in the new year it was great to see so many familiar as well as new faces, and get everyone together over a glass of beer and some robots. We all enjoyed the delicious food and drinks prepared by our caterer Go Moriwaki. We also thank our partners from the Lego School Oimachi, who were there to provide instruction and guidance on the coding of the robots.

We would like to thank our partners and the participants for making this event into a success, and we would like to see you again at the next IT event.

If you would like to discuss the current market or would like more information on something discussed during the event, please do not hesitate to contact us anytime.
