Job Description

Financial Controller position with one of the largest retail and consumer goods brand in Tokyo.

My client is a leading publicly traded Consumer Goods and Retail brand. They follow an amazing professional culture which has led them to make a prominent mark within the industry globally. This position will report directly to the Japan CFO and will be managing a team of 15 staff.

• Establishing a strong partnership with Japan CFO.
• Promoting excellence and cost effective solutions to finance areas.
• Exceeding business partners expectations in the management of core processes.
• Support for business policies, procedures and statutory requirements.
• Reviewing and re-engineering finance and accounting processes and systems.
• Strategically planning and implementing new procedures and functions.

Required skill

• In addition to U.S GAAP, JGAAP, SOX & Internal Control knowledge,
• 5+ years of management experience.
• 6+ years corporate finance department or Big 4 accounting firm experience.

Preferred skill

• Strong leadership skills and advanced fluency in English.
• Finance & Accounting experience for a company with a product/inventory.
• Working experience or education abroad.
