Financial Accountant (Major foreign law firm in Tokyo)

Job Description

Must have 5+ years of working experience. Candidates with accounting experience in a law firm or professional services firm is ideal (though not mandatory).

Roles/Responsibilities　

• Reporting to the Finance Manager, and co-working with 1 other staff, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Controlling the Tokyo office’s revenue
• Communicate closely with partners and other staff to ensure billing is timely and accurate.
• Provide billing forecasts and estimates.
• Journal entries for GL and AP
• Participate in ad-hoc projects and support other team members as necessary.

Required skill　

• 5+ years of working experience
• 5+ years of financial accounting experience
• Intermediate level of English or above (must be able to communicate with non-Japanese lawyers, and participate in training provided by HK/London)
• Native-level Japanese

Preferred skill

• Accounting experience at a law firm, or other professional service firms (accounting firms, consulting firms etc) is a strong plus
• Good communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Strong sense of responsibility
