Yoshiki is a Manager with Morgan McKinley Tokyo specialising in front office banking roles across the following areas: sales, trading and structuring, M&A, ECM and DCM, private equity and hedge funds.
Yoshiki joined Morgan McKinley in 2004 and since then he has won a number of senior retained mandates from global investment banks, covering global markets and investment banking areas and has built up an impressive business network in Tokyo.
Yoshiki has over 15 years’ experience in the banking sector with a career that began in 1987 with Mitsui Bank in the US, within their corporate finance division. Later he joined Prebon in their Yen IRS sales team and then transferred to London via internal promotion. He returned to Japan in 1996 where he joined J.B Were’s equity research sales team as deputy representative director of Japan. He subsequently worked at The Pullman Group as Japan country manager and as their senior financial engineer of Mizuho in Tokyo. This breadth of experience ensures that Yoshiki has first hand knowledge of his specialist area and a strong understanding of his clients’ needs.
Yoshiki was educated in the US and holds a BA in Sociology from Hope College and an MBA from Grand Valley State University. He is native Japanese and speaks business level English. Outside of the office, his main interest is baseball.
